Council and Bureaucratic Policy Issues

This is a broad outline of some of the issues we'd like to discuss.

1. Committee of the Whole versus the Committee System -- discuss differences as they affect taxpayers.

2. Separation of Council and the Bureaucracy --  discuss the need to keep Council out of the Kitchen.

3. Separation of Council and Lobbyists, Agencies, Boards, Commissions -- discuss the need for lobbyists etc. to get in line like everyone else.

4. Presentations to Council  -- discuss the importance of making presentations directly to Council, currently presentations are to made to Committees if a Committee exists.

5. Limitations on No. of Questions in Council -- currently, Councillors are only allowed one question.

6. Council and in Camera Meetings -- further the current concerns that are in the newspapers.

7. Council and Legal actions against Taxpayers -- looking for opinions.

8. Freedom of Information -- Is anyone experiencing difficulties.

A. New Items -- Add new Council / Bureaucracy issues here.
